A Memorable Trip to Haridwar and Rishikesh

Haridwar is one of the most popular and favorite weekend gateway for Delhites. They don’t need a reason or advance planning to escape towards Haridwar. All it takes is a quick plan and last minute hotel booking. This is what we did when I planned a short trip with family to Haridwar on an extended weekend (Friday to Sunday). We simply decided on Thursday evening to visit the place, packed our bags and grabbed a last minute deal on Stepinn Hotel. We have had a great experience with the site. So, on Friday morning, we started our drive towards the holy land of Ganges – Haridwar. After a refreshing yet tiring 5 hours drive, we finally reached our Hotel in Haridwar. As usual, our booking was confirmed and we were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff with a welcome drink (free of cost ), this was a surprise for us, as I was not included in our hotel deal.

We stayed there for two days, enjoyed the great hospitality of the hotel, vibrant Ganga Aarti, holy dip in Ganga Water at Har Ki paudi and visited a couple of few more places. On the second day, my mother expressed her desire to visit Rishikesh. (How can a trip to Haridwar be complete without visiting Rishikesh)? So, on Sunday we checked out from the hotel and left for Rishikesh. Unfortunately, we didn’t realise that, it’s an extended weekend and like us, there were many more people who we traveling to enjoy a family vacation. For that reason, every hotel we reached was completely occupied and even after visiting over 10 good hotels, we could not find a single room.

Finally, I decided to call the customer care number of Stepinn Hotels.  The courteous staff, asked me about my location and hang up the phone. After 10 mins I received a call from that person, she gave me the address of 3 Hotels in Rishikesh, which were in close proximity to the place, where we were waiting. We reached the very first hotel and immediately got the rooms, without any extra charges.

After, resting for a while, we enjoyed our day in the beautiful place and at the end of day we happily left for Delhi. I must say, Stepinn Hotels played a great role in making our holiday memorable.
